I recognize the power in a heartfelt “I am” statement.
I am a soft-spoken, tender-hearted, resilient, and dynamic human. I am a self-defined woman, a wild woman. I also enjoy the freedom and nurture of gender-fluid and gender non-conforming aspects of my being. The pronouns I recognize myself in are she/her.
My educational background:
I am a first-generation college student. I hold a constant gratitude (and maybe a healthy skepticism of institutionalized learning) to say I have earned the following degrees:
B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo State University
M.A. in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education & Counseling
I am qualified as Nationally Certified Counselor, as of 2021.
I am a practitioner of Holy Fire III Reiki with training in levels I & II from Julie Svoboda of Reiki Says Relax in Portland, OR.
I am grateful for my training as a co-leader at Portland DBT Institute in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I partipicated in this training during the internship period of my graduate education and experienced the joy of co-leading group sessions from May of 2020 to May of 2021.
I have also worked with the community of Vancouver, WA, as a behavioral health intern at SEAMAR Community Health Centers.
In 2021, I found a part of myself seeing more potential in what I can offer. This illumination of my potential provided an opening, leading me to study Traditional & Classical Chinese Medicine. I am currently on my path as a student of acupuncture & Eastern medicine and Chinese herbal healing modalities.
I am studying shamanic healing practices under the tutelage of Sarah Goff and Human Design through the offerings of Jenna Zoe, in addition to the work I dedicate as a student of Eastern medicine.
I am not working with individuals as a mental health counseling associate (not to mention, obtaining licensure is a longer process than many people think).
sun and moon care is a dedication project, a commitment to sharing what I love.
Thank you for being here.
